מאז 2001 אנו משקיפות מדי יום בעשרות מחסומי צה"ל הנמצאים בתוך הגדה, בבקעת הירדן, על גדר ההפרדה, בכבישים ראשיים ובדרכי עפר צדדיות; במשרדי המינהל האזרחי (מת"קים) שם מונפקים לפלסטינים אישורים שונים; בבתי משפט צבאיים בדיונים של עצירים פלסטינים. הצוות שלנו שוהה במחסום ככל הנדרש ועוקב אחרי התנהלות החיילים והפלסטינים, ללא הפרעה. לעיתים, לנוכח יחס בוטה וקשה אל הפלסטינים, יש ואנו מנסות להתערב באמצעות פנייה ישירה אל החיילים או בטלפון למפקדיהם. הדוחות מהתצפיות מתפרסמים באתר זה בעברית ובאנגלית.

15:30 מיד לאחר הפניה ימינה מ-443 יש תור לכוון עטרות. שני נתיבים פקוקים, עוברים בנימוס לנתיב אחד, לעמדת הבידוק. מול העמדה טנדר מג"ב בכוון התנועה אל 443.
15:45 החומה מול החניה עברה "שפוץ" הגרפיטי נמחקו. בכיכר עצמה, ולצערנו לא היתה מצלמה, פורחות כלניות, נראה
שהשקיעו בזריעתן, ושלושה דגלים מתנופפים על נס. האם מתקיים שם טקס הנפת דגלים? וממול ובעצם בכל פינה הזוהמה, הלכלוך וההזנחה חוגגים.
15:50 איך שהגענו ראינו סיומה של העברת חולה,(כנראה תינוק) "גב אל גב". במסלול הולכי הרגל שני כלובים פתוחים,מלאים,דחוסים. שלושה שרוולים פתוחים. קר,כולם קפואים, משפילים מבט, רק רוצים לעבור ומהר.
עיוור והמלווה שלו עבר לפי בקשתנו בכלוב השלישי. אישה בת 57 בתור הממתינים. הורדה מהמיניבוס לעבור
במעבר הולכי הרגל, חסרות לה שלוש שנים, שבגללן תעמוד בקור והכללים יישמרו. השירותים נעולים.
16:20 כיכר צפונית, פקוק כרגיל.
16:30בסככה השוק הקטן, קוקוס, עוגות סולת, שפודים, תות שדה. כל אחד מנסה להרוויח את פת יומו הדלה.
נהגי המוניות מנסים למשוך נוסעים לעבור אליהם.10 ₪ לבית-חנינא 6.5 במיניבוס. פה ושם יש שמשתכנעים. קר והמעבר ייקח לפחות חצי שעה, אם לא יותר. במעבר הרגלי,כל פעם שנדמה שהכלובים מתרוקנים, מגיע גל חדש והתור הוא עד אמצע סככת ההמתנה.

17:10 אנחנו מחוץ למעבר, ס"ה כ-30 דקות.(בשבילנו פעם בשבועיים, לפלסטינאים כל יום, פעמיים ביום!)
17:15אמבולנס בחניה מחכה להעברת אישה חולת סרטן לבית חולים במזרח ירושלים. האישה באמבולנס מרמאללה ממתינה כבר חצי שעה בכניסה למחסום, מסתבר שהגיעו לעמדה והחיילים אמרו שאין את כל האישורים. מחכים לטלפון מדליה באסה. אחרי כעוד 15-20 דקות ושיחת טלפון שלנו למוקד ההומניטרי הרמקול מזמין את האמבולנס לעבור ואנחנו עוזבות.
וסיפור נוסף על ו. מוכר הקפה. היה נסער מאד בבוקר, באו מג"ב ולקחו אותו ואדם נוסף לחקירה במחנה הסמוך. לא נתנו לו להתארגן עם עגלתו, שלא יגנבו לו דברים. נחקר ע"י חוקרת, שנתנה לו רשות להתקשר לעו"ד. רצו שיספר מי זורק אבנים, שחררו אותו בחתימה על מסמך שלא הרביצו לו וכו'. את שאר המסמך בעברית כמובן לא יכול היה להבין.
