מאז 2001 אנו משקיפות מדי יום בעשרות מחסומי צה"ל הנמצאים בתוך הגדה, בבקעת הירדן, על גדר ההפרדה, בכבישים ראשיים ובדרכי עפר צדדיות; במשרדי המינהל האזרחי (מת"קים) שם מונפקים לפלסטינים אישורים שונים; בבתי משפט צבאיים בדיונים של עצירים פלסטינים. הצוות שלנו שוהה במחסום ככל הנדרש ועוקב אחרי התנהלות החיילים והפלסטינים, ללא הפרעה. לעיתים, לנוכח יחס בוטה וקשה אל הפלסטינים, יש ואנו מנסות להתערב באמצעות פנייה ישירה אל החיילים או בטלפון למפקדיהם. הדוחות מהתצפיות מתפרסמים באתר זה בעברית ובאנגלית.

בוקר קר, כ 400 איש בתור לשלושת הקרוסלות. כ 50 נוספים מחכים לפני השער ההומניטארי. על הספסלים יושבים עשרות גברים שהתייאשו מהדחיפות ומחכים שהתור יפחת. בפנים פתוחים רק 3 מעברי בידוק, סה"כ מחכים לבידוק כ 100 אנשים.
עוד מהחנייה אנו שומעות שאגה נוראית של מאות גברים הצועקים יחדיו. אלו הגברים שעמדו בתור לקרוסלות, בשלושה תורים עמוסים, שהתפרקו לפתע בגלל כמה צעירים שנדחפו לראש התור. הצעירים מחזיקים בכוח בברזלי המעבר המקורה. גופם עדיין מחוץ לתור, אך ידיהם כבר קנו אחיזה בברזלים שמשני צידי המעבר. ברור, מצורת אחיזתם, כי ברגע שהקרוסלות תפתחנה, הם יפעילו כוח לחץ שידחוף את הממתינים בתור לאחור ויכניס אותם ראשונים לתוך המעבר המקורה.
גבר מיואש פונה אלינו: ...כל השבוע זה ככה... חסר למדינה כסף להוסיף עוד חייל או שניים... צריך רק עוד 4 חיילים, שיתחילו משעה 4:00 בבוקר...
בסככה אנו פוגשים מתנדבת אקומנית, היא מדווחת על רצף של בקרים עמוסים במיוחד בקלנדיה.

במחצית השעה שעברה נכנסו לבידוק 350 איש. קרוסלה 3 נתקעה, עיינה צועקת לקצין שדאג לטפל בתקלה.
בשעה 06:00 התבצעו חילופי משמרות, הקצינים הגיעו והשער ההומניטארי נפתח לראשונה בשעה 06:11. מעבר בידוק 5 מוקדש רק להומניטארי.

במחצית השעה שעברה נכנסו לבידוק 360 איש. עומס בכל התורים.
נראה כאילו שום דבר לא השתפר בשעה שחלפה. אותו לחץ בתור לקרוסלות, הפועלים טרם הספיקו לעבור, נשים ותלמידים כבר גודשים את התור ההומניטארי.
אילו התחילו להגביר את קצב הבידוק שעה מוקדם יותר היו כל הבעיות נמנעות!

במחצית השעה שעברה נכנסו לבידוק 400 איש .
התור ההומניטארי התחיל להתרוקן, התור הרגיל עדיין עמוס כבראשונה.
בעבר, היו ימים בהם עזבנו את המחסום הריק לפני השעה 07:30. אבל אז, כנראה, היו מי שתפעלו את המחסום בשעה הרבה יותר מוקדמת כדי למנוע את העומסים המצטברים בשעות בהן הפועלים עדיין מחכים בתור ואוכלוסיית הבוקר כבר מגיעה.
מעברי בידוק 4-5 המוקדשים להומניטארי בלבד והם כמעט ריקים בעוד מעברי בידוק 1-3 המטפלים בפועלים, עמוסים.

במחצית השעה שעברה נכנסו לבידוק 270 איש .
התור ההומניטארי התרוקן, מי שמגיע נכנס מיד לבידוק, גם מצב התור החיצוני השתפר, רק כ 100 איש עדיין מחכים למעבר. כל הגברים שישבו על הספסלים שבסככה כבר עברו.

נכנסנו לתור במעבר הרכבים.
לפני דקות ספורות נשמעו צפצופים ממושכים מכיוון תור המכוניות, אך עכשיו התור מתקדם בסדר ודי מהר.
מכוניות המגיעות מכיוון ירושלים, שבעבר פנו בכיכר ימינה לכיוון רמאללה ותקעו את התור המגיע למחסום הרכבים מכיוון כביש 60, נאלצות עכשיו להמשיך ישר, להסתובב בכיכר היותר מרוחקת ומשם להיכנס ישירות לכיוון רמאללה מבלי להפריע לתור המכוניות במחסום הרכבים.
