מאז 2001 אנו משקיפות מדי יום בעשרות מחסומי צה"ל הנמצאים בתוך הגדה, בבקעת הירדן, על גדר ההפרדה, בכבישים ראשיים ובדרכי עפר צדדיות; במשרדי המינהל האזרחי (מת"קים) שם מונפקים לפלסטינים אישורים שונים; בבתי משפט צבאיים בדיונים של עצירים פלסטינים. הצוות שלנו שוהה במחסום ככל הנדרש ועוקב אחרי התנהלות החיילים והפלסטינים, ללא הפרעה. לעיתים, לנוכח יחס בוטה וקשה אל הפלסטינים, יש ואנו מנסות להתערב באמצעות פנייה ישירה אל החיילים או בטלפון למפקדיהם. הדוחות מהתצפיות מתפרסמים באתר זה בעברית ובאנגלית.

05:15 תור ארוך וצפוף של יוצאים לעבודה מגיע עד למוכר הקפה, עומדים בשקט גמור. זמן קצר אחרי שבאנו החלו תלונות ודחיפות. החיילת בתא מחכה עד שלא יהיו יותר מ-3-4 אנשים לפני חדרי הבדיקה ורק אז מזרימה פנימה. כמובן ששרוול 1 לא עובד. בדרך כלל התור נשמר ובפעמים הבודדות שצעירים מנסים לקפוץ מעל ולדחוף, האנשים מסדרים את הדבר במהירות.
החל משעה 06:00 מתרכזים אנשים ליד המסלול ההומניטארי, אחרי 06:30 אני מתקשרת ונענית שמיד יבואו. אחרי 15 דקות מופיע איוון השוטר וקצין המת'ק. הפעם איוון מברך אותי לשלום אמנם בקור רב אך בנימוס, אולי עזרו התלונות נגד הגסות. אחרי פעם אחת שפתחו את השער ההומניטארי נעלמו ונאמר לי שיש רכב חשוד והם עסוקים איתו.
טלפנתי כמה פעמים ובכל פעם אמרו שאו-טו-טו- הם כבר גומרים עם הרכב החשוד ויתפנו לשער ההומניטארי. ובינתיים תלמידות בית ספר, נשים עם תינוקות, זקנים צריכים להידחף בין הגברים ובתוך הכלובים.
ואז, אחרי שעה לפחות, הפלא ופלא מגיע שוטר אחר לשער ההומניטארי, ואיש מת"ק אחר. והם לא ייפתחו את השער עד שיבוא השומר האזרחי אחרי עוד 10 דקות.
עד השעה 7:15 היו המסלולים מלאים.
