The waiting room was fuller than it had been for a long time, mainly people waiting for a magnetic card. But one thing was the same as it has been in previous occasions. The room was filthy with maps falling to the ground. Hardly a chair which did not have rubbish under it. As for the toilets……a young boy opened the door of the men’s toilet. Took one look at it and closed the door. The women’s toilet has not been in use in years. The rubbish bin has not been emptied since last week. Since the war began we have not seen the cleaner but maybe this is to save money for more important aims.  Maybe the Ministry of Health should be involved in this.. fat chande.

Maybe the IDF feels that this way the army can show how they despise the Palestinians. But this shows how much respect they have for their duties. All this is a picture of what seems to be happening in general in the army. To the greater glory….

An irritating jingle is again heard in the waiting room. A man came out at 11.25 and said he had been inside since 10 am. There was only one soldier dealing with those waiting. The man said that there was no one else still inside but it took another 20 minutes for another group to be called in.

A young boy of 15 has been called in by the GSS …. we waited for half an hour after they had been called in but they were still not come out when we left.
