Abu Dis DCO, Container CP, Abu Dis Wednesday PM, 15.6.05Observers: Tami B., Daniella G., Maya BH (reporting)Abu Dis DCO, 1:00 pm. About a dozen people crowding the windows. Most seemedto leave with a smile, their wishes granted. Inevitably, there were therefused and the disappointed. The female soldiers worked politely andwith empathy.Container CP, 2:15 pm. Not much traffic. It was handled correctly. Onecar, with an Israeli plate, was not allowed through, which is no surprise. The soldiers were unwilling to exchange any words with us, but did nothassle us in any way, and treated the cars properly.Abu Dis: Since the wall has been extended, there is little to see. Atthe Pishpash (bawabe ), people were climbing the wall or passing through themonastary, with some checked at random. One holder of a PA ID was fillingout the forms one fills on those occasions, no doubt to be shortly sentback east.We followed the newly paved road hugging the newly extended wall on thewest side. Amazingly, it took us all the way to Jabel Mukaber, and fromthere to Jerusalem.
