Abu-DisWed 8.2.06. PM Laura S. , Tami B. (reporting)Actually there is not much to report. It was very windy and cold and only few people were walking around. The banality of the occupation continues.15:00 – at the Container a temporary line of cars (because of change of shifts), afterwards only a few cars are checked and most of them pass quickly. Pedestrians (mainly workers who come back from work) pass without being checked. There is only one soldier that can be seen outside. A cabriver takes out his carpet and starts praying.Pishpash – people are jumping over the wall. No soldiers around. The gate to the monastery is open, but only few people pass. A military Jeep is seen from time to time, but they don’t stop. At the bottom of the street there is a big opening and people pass easily. Near the Hotel there are now two gates. One in direction of the hotel and the other towards “Moskovitch Settlement”. The sign says that it is a military area and one is not allowed to pass.
