Abu DisSunday AM, 19.2.06Observers: Tova, Dalia (reporting).06:45 – 10:00Note: Our original destination (according to the weekly schedule) was Abu dis but we went to Qalandiya as well to assist in getting the details of one of the (GSS or police) refused.O7:00 – Abu DisFrom a distance we saw a military jeep at the upper Pishpash, but it quickly vanished. Passersby went freely through the wall. A large group of people at the corner. They said they were not detained, but were waiting for transportation. It is important to note that some of them had come from Bethlehem! They claim CP 300 (the new crossing) opens only at 06:00 and passage through it is very slow, so much so that they are late for work.07:15 – Al EzariyaA CP at the exit but traffic flows.07:30 – ContainerTwo taxis detained on the side. The commander (V.) says he is CP experienced and tries to carry out efficiently whatever is necessary. “One checks a sample of documents and releases”. Two young detainees sit in the corner waiting for GSS clearance. One of them is a student waiting for a routine investigation. The other is accused of opening the CP gate, thereby letting through vehicles without permission.
