Surda is open! The road has been
repaired, and if you don’t know where to look, you wouldn’t know
there was once a roadblock there. Our driver A. says everyone is
extremely pleased — “like Jokha after the 2 donkeys were
taken out of his house”. Ein Arik is also open. Ar-Ram and
Qalandya were quiet, pedestrian traffic moved smoothly, vehicle
traffic was reasonably smooth. Several of the soldiers at Qalandya
speak Arabic, and seemed reasonably polite.
