Etzion DCO: "There is no humanity left in the world"
There were many people today both for the GSS and for the magnetic card. Some said that they had been waiting since 9 am.
One man told us that because the teachers are not being paid sometimes the children only have school three times a week. His son of 10 can hardly read and he has taken a private teacher for him whom he pays 20 shekel an hour . He has a taxi and makes appointments for the Palestinians who come to the DCO. He has a small garden where he grows tomatoes, etc. He says you can see the despair in the eyes of the people. Some people cannot pay for electricity. There is medical aid but a dentist has to be paid. He takes about 50 shekels for a filling. People do not demonstrate because they are too scared. It is not sure if they are scared of the PA or the army and even of one another. He says he had a permit and, if his employer would permit it he would jump the fence and take the chance of being caught but the latter does not agree. He says there is no humanity left in the world.
