Accompanying shepherds in the Hamra area: a confrontation without a meeting
7 a.m. – we reached the shepherd’s home and went out to graze. After about half an hour of walking we saw one of the ranchers (from the outpost) with his flock. Clearly had we approached him, violence would take place. We took out our phones and photographed this. None of us got close to the ranchers’ flock. The Palestinian stood at a prominent spot near his flock and the two accompaniers at the edges of the flock, ready both for photographing and for getting the flock together.
Everything ended well. The ranchers’ flock left. The shepherd’s flock was led to grazing areas.
At 11:30 we concluded our accompaniment at the shepherd’s home.
