At 4:30, 40 men are sitting in the hot sun at the top of the hill facing the wall below. Some claimed to be there since 2:00. One man told us “It’s a shame, they are all workers who were fixing your houses in Jerusalem.” 4 BPs are standing in the shade, 2 are checking papers. and 4 workers are released in 1 hour. A jeep comes and goes. With Safadi’s help, the men are moved to the shade. At 6pm, the detainees are still at the top of the hill, joined by about 30 more detained workers, who were caught heading home in transits. Officer Yehuda M. arrives shortly, and now 5 BPs are checking papers. The men were finally released at 8pm. At the wall, no BPs, as they are busy above. Passage over the wall remains dangerous.
