Abu Dis, Sawahre, Zeitim CPWednesday, 24.5.2006, AMObservers Yehudit E. Ruthi R (Reporter)Abu Dis: 06:45 – We noticed that on the Wall, upwards, towards Cliff Hotel they put layers of barbed wire fence.A conversation about pass-permits developed with one of the BP who recognized Yehudit from her visits in Na’aman. We did not see people or cars in the area.On the way up towards The Pishpash, in A-Sheich neighborhood, in front of the locked gate, stands a BP in front of a pass way, inside which a building activity is taking place. We find out that this is another part of the Wall which is supposed to include in the Jerusalem side the houses between this area and the Pishpash. The Wall they build there is made of decorative building materials, and turns into the gray Wall which in the monastery area.In the monastery area there are two places where deep foundations are being dug. The builders did not know what is their purpose.Zeitim CP: 07:45 – A new and polished terminal. A few people came and waited at the bus stop. Ten minutes later the bus came. Very few people pass.Sawahre: 08:45 – We did not turn towards Kedar, but took the old road. We saw that the yellow gate is open, but despite this the vegetables seller had to beg to be allowed to drive to the houses uphill. Three ambulances from Jericho and Beit-Lehem arrived and they transferred the patient from the Jericho ambulance to the Beit-Lehem one.A few taxis are detained, but are released within a few minutes. Like last week, a bus with students is searched very thoroughly. All the men had to go outside, some were detained, and some got their documents back. The check of those who were detained was done south of the soldiers’ toilets, so we could not see what happened there.
