'Einabus - settlers from Yitzhar were coming downhill toward M.'s chicken coops
On Monday, April 13, 2020, at 4:20 p.m., M. from Einabus – a Palestinian village near Huwwara town – called, telling me he sees the settler-colonists from Yitzhar coming downhill in the direction of his chicken coops. From Arik Ascherman I received the name of the Nablus DCO operations officer whom I called to inform about this. He promised to look into it. I also called the Israel police, who accused me of having an agenda – this is the word the policeman used when I reported and he heard I was an Israeli citizen. I calrified that I was doing my civil duty by reporting that someone was calling me about a problem and fearing an attack. I also gave them M.’s telephone number to get the exact location.
Following Arik Ascherman’s advice, I also gave M. of Einabus the two phones numbers. He called the Nablus DCO and they promised him too that they were taking care of the matter.
The police did not call him. Perhaps it notified the army?
Around 7 p.m. M. notified me that the settler-colonists left.
It could have ended differently…

'Einabus
A village in the Nablus district, west of Hawara, numbering about 3,000 people. 85% of the village's land in Area B, 15% in Area C. 114 dunams of its land were expropriated to establish the violent settlement of Yitzhar and its outposts. Due to the proximity and violence of the settlers sitting on the top of the mountain to invade the village lands, the inhabitants of Einabus regularly suffer from harassment by settlers throwing stones, smashing windows, cutting down olive groves, as well as arson of vehicles and fields. All these were intensified in the second decade of the 21st century.
