| Morning

People who pass over complain about the reduction of the number of passage licenses.

06:00 -We arrive at the Falamiye North gate but the army has not yet arrived.

The summer has passed and the farmers sit in the alcove at the entrance and warm themselves in the light of a small fire. They invite us warmly to sit with them and when we do, answer our questions. Their main problem is the miserliness in issuing licenses

06:10 The soldiers arrive and make the arrangements for the opening of the gates according to the accepted order: first the farmers, then the tractors. The donkey belongs to the tractor and his owner has to tie it, in order to enter and be checked, and then he returns and rides it when the tractors cross over. The donkey prides itself with a new sack on its back (as, according to its owner, he has eaten the old sack up…)

At first is seems as if there is almost no public, but later more farmers arrive (a few dozen) and more tractors (about ten).

Some time before 07:00 we arrive at Falamiye South, which is the gate that serves the farmers of Jayyus. The soldiers are already here and perform the checking procedure relatively quickly. The driver of the  closed truck, who arrives there per schedule, has organized a new cover for the truck, a sheet on which there is the photographed head of a handsome man upside down

We also passed by Z., who sends regrds to Tzvia and Hanna (Peres).

On the way home the road is congested owing to cars leaving the Settlements for work in Israel…

This checkpoint has extremely important for all farmers in the area since the previous, Falamya checkpoint opening routine of continuously open for 12 hours has been discontinued.
