| Morning

The photos were taken by Palestinians.

Bad news from the Hill of the Herald.

Giv’at HaMevaser, as it is named by the settlers, lies north of Kiryat Arba the entrenters to it is from Beit ‘Anun. It is about a kilometer from Kiryat Arba.

Between the hill and Kiryat Arba there are plots of people from Hebron.

It was raining hard today and we did not enter Hebron. We drove there and found a Palestinian who had found cut olive trees and a new fence next to his plot.

It’s hard to live in this country. Especially for the Palestinians.

    • According to Wye Plantation Accords (1997), Hebron is divided in two: H1 is under Palestinian Authority control, H2 is under Israeli control. In Hebron there are 170,000 Palestinian citizens, 60,000 of them in H2. Between the two areas are permanent checkpoints, manned at all hours, preventing Palestinian movement between them and controlling passage of permit holders such as teachers and schoolchildren. Some 800 Jews live in Avraham Avinu Quarter and Tel Rumeida, on Givat HaAvot and in the wholesale market.
