Best regards to everybody from N. from Jayyus.

12 persons crowd in his house, everybody is healthy, and so are the people in the village. He doesn’t know anybody who is sick.

All the entrances to the village are shut and blocked, just the main one enables traffic, but just for holders of an entrance permit.

The is no way of obtaining a livelihood since workers aged over 50 were not allowed anymore to enter Israel, but he himself continues voluntarily to coordinate the transportation of sick persons on their way to recovery. Yes, he says, there are still people who travel. There are astonishing Israeli volunteers, and just now they were joined by a new woman volunteer.

What will happen during the Ramadan, I ask. It will be much more difficult, he answers. The fast will take place as usual, of course, but how to feed everybody at its end, this is a big problem.

He sends regards to all our members, especially those he knows and appreciates, and sends us all wishes for a happy holiday and much health.

    • Jayyus Village. Some of its lands were separated from the village when the separation barrier was first built. The wall is very close to the village itself and access to a large part of its lands was exproptiated. After a petition to the High Court that was convinced that there was no security ground for the route of the barrier, the barrier was moved and some of the lands were returned to the village.
