Morning

By mistake, in the morning we missed the road leading to the checkpoint, and decided to come back after the shift at Huwwara.

'Azzun 'Atma,  The implementation of the “permits policy” along the seam line began two days ago.

09:30

A male and a female soldier at the gate.  They say that only a few homeowners and people with permits come through to the area of the seam line, and workers with permits to work in the settlements – “Judea and Samaria” is what’s written on the permits.

The checkpoint is open between 05:00 and 09:00, but its also manned later to for the few homeowners.  The laundry is open – and we see Israelis, apparently owners of laundries, bringing garments to be cleaned here – it’s cheaper!

M. from the marble factory says that the factory’s owner still hasn’t gotten a permit.  He said that W., the DCO officer responsible for the crossing points, promised to solve the problem.  We said we’d keep our eye on it.
