Afternoon

15:50 - Shaked-Tura checkpoint
On our way to the checkpoint, we've picked up an hitchhiker, a resident of A'aneen who owns land near Um-el-Rihan, and his passage permit is valid at the Shaked-Tura checkpoint. From Tura to A'aneen he goes through Jenin. Those rides cost him Nis 60 a day.

Very little traffic of vehicles as well as of pedestrian going into the West Bank.
Inspection of cars and of people inside the cabin is swift. Only one car crossed over from the West Bank into the Seam Line zone.

16:20 - Rihan-Barta'a checkpoint
Many vehicles at the Palestinian car park area. Drivers wait for workers who arrive in small groups.
Little traffic from the West Bank into the Seam Line zone.

17:00
- At the car park area of the Seam Line zone there is a group of people awaiting transportation. They work at the carpet factory at the Sha"chak industrial area doing a night shift from 18:00-06:00.
At the entrance sleeveinfo-icon of the terminal there is no line at this hour , despite the fact that only one window is open.
Three people who are detained for questioning wait on a bench in the terminal.

17:15
A line begins to form. People tell us that they get up at 03:00 a.m. in order to get to Taibe (Yirtach checkpoint) before the opening time at 04:30. They must go through early because they work in Ashkelon(!) .
When people, among them women with children get out of the terminal to go to the Seam Line zone, the line stops.

17:30
A few tens of people wait while only one window is open. One call to Sharon, the person in charge proves effective and a second inspection post  opens up and the line shortens quickly.

17:45
More people continue to come but when two inspection post are operational, passage time is reasonable.
Wondering why a second post does not open without our intervention, we leave.
