Morning

07:30 -Shaked-Tura checkpoint

There are more than 30 people waiting crowded on the other side of the fence and six car all waiting to enter the Seam Line zone. A few cross over from the Seam Line zone into the West Bank.
There are new female soldiers at the checkpoint, two are inside the inspection cabin and one checks out vehicles.
Palestinians complain of the slow pace which we too observe. It could be related to the placement of the new soldiers on site.

08:40 Rihan-Barta'a checkpoint
Four cars loaded with vegetables waiting to enter the inspection defined area. Two more arrive and wait at the Palestinian parking lot.
Business owners from East Barta'a arrive, park their cars at the Palestinian car park and walk through the terminal.

09:30 - We left the checkpoint and drove through Barta'a, one of the merchants told us that his father, a cardiac patient, returned from the hospital in East Jerusalem and was forced to stand in line for about an hour at the terminal.
He himself has recently returned from a trip to one of the Gulf emirates and was detained at the terminal for three hours.
Much to our sadness and frustration we are unable to observe the inside of the terminal.
