We arrived at the checkpoint at the hour when workers are beginning to return from their jobs.  The return was speedy and there was no need for an additional booth besides the closed one (hermetically sealed), where the workers deposit their IDs and permits for inspection.  There were no detainees and I recognized the religious soldiers who were present at the checkpoint the last times I was there.  They were characterized, at least in appearance, as being relatively relaxed and polite.  Surpisingly, they didn't even come over to ask us who we were or what we were doing there.
