Morning

0730 - 0800 - Shaked-Tura checkpoint
Upon arrival at the checkpoint, the place is totally deserted
Later one person would go through. Towards eight o'clock traffic picks up: holiday attired families, workers and  several cars cross over on both sides.
Passage is swift . Still traffic is rather slow in comparison with what we usually experience on Saturdays.

0810-0850 Barta'a-Rihan checkpoint
Lively traffic of both vehicles and pedestrians at all directions.
Only a few cabs wait at the upper car park area for those coming out of the terminal. Apparently passage today is relatively quick. Some of the people say its only 'so-so' and others think its quick
At the entrance to the terminal there is a sign in Arabic stating that on Wednesday 1.12.10, the checkpoint would be close from eight in the evening until the following morning due to the holiday of lights.
Happy Holiday.

We're  impressed by on going improvement of the architecture at the checkpoint; a new gate was added at the exit of the vehicles' inspection post (in the direction from the West Bank into the Seam Line zone, the upper exit) in front of it there is a row of flower pots. By the bus station, in the heart of the checkpoint two construction workers are busy building a mysterious facility' according to them it'll be a water fountain! There is no end to the wonders
