North, 22.6.11 am.

Navah R.

07:45 - 08:45 Shaked-Tura checkpoint

Vehicles, mostly commercial, cross over into the West Bank. Each car is inspected for less than five minutes, there is hardly any waiting.

The man with the donkey as well as three more pedestrians went through quickly.

On the way to the Reihan-Barta'a checkpoint a few armored vehicles, soldiers, and officers were observed, apparently as part of the big maneuver. The Palestinians were not aware of that military exercise and wondered what was going on.

08:5 - 110:15 Reihan-Barta'a checkpoint

At 09:00 a group of private cars had entered the inspection area and 45 minutes later a group of trucks loaded with vegetables had entered as well.

Passage of pedestrians was swift and they weren't event asked to enter the terminal in groups of "five-five". Who ever arrived had entered, even ten at a time (!)

I went back through East Barta'a and was surprised to hear, at 11:00 o'clock the siren of the "Big maneuver".
