07:45 - 08:45 Shaked-Tura checkpoint

Soldiers' version of the shooting event on Saturday Oct.22nd.

There was light traffic at the checkpoint. Soldiers came up to me and told me about the event on Saturday. According to them about 100 people from Daher-el-Malec wanted to cross over to Tura as a group and not through the inspection cabin. They said that they had received a permit for that, but the soldiers on site were not informed of that and they insisted that they go through the inspection cabin.

Another group of about 100 people arrived from Tura and they began shouting, cursing and rioting , they pressured against the gate that broke open. The soldiers felt threatened and were hurt by the Palestinians' behavior. According to them they make an effort to create a pleasant atmosphere on site and behave courteously. They were confronted by "not very nice Palestinians". No shooting was mentioned.

08:55 - 10:15 Reihan-Barta'a checkpoint

Two cars waited in front of the vehicle inspection post . They were followed by the medical van. All went through within fifteen minutes.

When I arrived; six trucks were waiting for inspection, they've entered the pre-inspection procedure only at 9:45, which means only 50 minutes later.

A few cars from the Seam Line zone crossed over to the West Bank . The vehicles and the passengers went through a quick inspection at the vehicle inspection post.Merchants and others who work at Barta'a crossed over as usual, no lines were formed. The Palestinian car park is full.

A huge garbage trucks crossed over into the West Bank. What for?
