0730-0800 - Shaked-Tura checkpoint

A clear and cold day. Some pedestrians are coming and going and a few cars. A wagon harnessed to a donkey passes. Passage is swift without delays, there are no lines.

Some people consult with us about permits that were given only for the olive harvest season and are about to expire.

0810-0840 Barta'a Reihan checkpoint

At the center of the site there is a huge Chanuka candelabra, surly the most necessary element for those passing through here. The post is as busy as usual, pedestrians stream along without delays in both direction. On the other hand, there is an unusual delay of vehicles.

On Saturdays there is no passage of goods,  therefore the number of waiting cars is always small and they all wait at the gate of the inspection post. Today, there are six cars waiting in front of the checkpoint and six more awaiting up the road.

We have no means of getting there and finding out what is going on.
