Afternoon

15:20 Shaked-Tura checkpoint

"Renovations" continues. As soon as we arrive, a reserve soldier approaches us and we talk. He is a graduate of Tel Aviv University.

"Routine life causes pressure" he says. "on the surface nothing is visible, but apparently something goes underneath ".

Even educated people must be given a reason to serve in such a place.

Traffic is sparse. A few cars and a small number of people cross over on the new concrete path. An old man with a donkey and a loaded cart go through without any problems.

16:20 Dotan checkpoint

Here too there are reserve soldiers. A Staff Sergeant explains to us :"One day you too will understand that here is just like in Tel Aviv, even Bibi says so".

Traffic is busy on both sides. Inspection is hasty. A truck driver is requested to stand aside. Inside the truck there are 7 people. All are asked to get off with their papers (Something that is never done in private care).

16:50 Reihan-Barta'a checkpoint

The lower car park is full. 10 loaded trucks wait for tomorrow morning inspection. At the upper car park there are no taxis, but women with trays of strawberries stand there, selling them in bargain prices. Those were the best I've tasted this year.

We go up the sleeveinfo-icon. Two benches were installed by the curve for those who are tired.

Traffic streams along smoothly through the gate and there are no illegal aliens.

17:30– We leave.
