06:05 – 06:55  A'aneen checkpoint

Many workers have gone through. "The soldiers are ok….", They say that about 50 more are still awaiting passage. A representative of the DCO is on site which helps. Soldiers are not too fond of well-attired workers. Shiny shoes, clean cloths, ironed pants appear suspicious. Change of clothes also cause suspicion. And they can't let such people in. A young fellow had presented a passport instead of an i.d. card and finally he was let through, smiling.

The school year has begun yesterday, Sunday.

07:05  Tura-Shaked checkpoint

The gatesinfo-icon are open but no one is around.

Another floor was added to the school at Um-el-Rihan. Perhaps the school children who used to cross over here to Tura no longer do that but rather attend the school at Um-el-Rihan. There is no one around to answer our question

07:10 – 07:30  Barta'a-Rihan checkpoint

Eddy's empire is growing (a kiosk that serves Coffee and baked goods), An entrepreneur. More and more  people come in a hurry and walk straight into the terminal. I meet the young fellow Ali, we're going to the Ram"bam hospital in Haifa. Last Friday Ali spent the day at the Dor beach as part of "On the way to recovery" organization's activity. That was his first time at the beach. He asked us if the water was always salty.
