16:05 Tura-Shaked checkpoint

About 20 people cross quickly on both sides.

One truck goes fast from the West Bank into the Seam Line zone. The driver is inspected in the booth.

A herd of sheep returns to the West Bank – a truly ideal picture!!!

16:45  Barta'a-Rihan checkpoint

During our shift (40 minutes) about 10 people had crossed from the West Bank into the Seam Line zone and about 200 workers went through from Barta'a and from Israel into the West Bank. Passage was swift.

Most of those who return from Israel stop by us and complain of the morning passage at the Sha'ar Ephraim checkpoint. According to them only two windows are open there and they cannot serve the many people who are in a hurry to get to work on time. They ask us to help them cross through the Barta'a checkpoint. There are rumors that some people who work in Israel were able to obtain a permit that allows them to go through Barta'a in the morning. They inquire as to what they need to do in order to get such a permit.
