Russian Compound

Judge: Hanan Rubinstein

Police investigator: Omri Aweideh

Defence attorneys: Attorney Ali Aramin, Judd Kadmani

There were 3 cases in the docket, of which one of the detaineesinfo-icon is barred from meeting an attorney:

Moaadi Saleh Jum'ah, ID 850682402, represented by Attorney Judd Kadmani.

The police investigator requests an 12-day extension of remand. This is the third extension. The suspect has been detained since 19.3.12.

He is suspected of activities against the security of the region and of military action in Hamas.

The reply to most of the attorney's questions was: the material is confidential, and the information is in the file, which is in the worthy judge's possession.

After a sterileinfo-icon discussion between the parties, the defence attorney is meant to leave the courtroom, to allow the hearing to continue between the detainee and the judge (in the presence of the police investigator, naturally).

The investigator asks Justice Rubinstein that the hearing continue to be held behind closed doors (not in our presence, of course) to prevent "information being leaked to the detainee's attorney" - by us.

We presented the document of the preliminary injunction of the-Supreme Court, recommending that we ought to be allowed to remain present at the hearing of a barred detainee, in both parts of the session. Justice Rubinstein read the material presented to him carefully, and decided:

Seen that the court has no authority to rule on the lifting of the prohibition to meet an attorney, it is in the best interests of the investigation, and out of concern that our presence will adversely affect the investigation of the suspect and state security (!) –

So we had to leave.
