06:00 – Reihan Barta'a Checkpoint

There is a lot of traffic in the upper parking lot on the seamline zone side.  Workers coming up the sleeveinfo-icon tell us that crossing is slow because there are new trainees learning their jobs at the inspection machines. They report that it takes from a half hour to an hour to cross.   From the sleeve we can see that it is crowded at the entrance to the terminal.   We saw R., the co-manager of the checkpoint, near one of the positions in the terminal, and told him about the complaints.  We are not sure but it seems that things begin to move along faster.   B., who works in the Shaked industrial zone, comes out of the terminal at 06:50 – 35 minutes more than his usual time.

07:03 – Shaked – Tura Checkpoint

The soldiers open the back gatesinfo-icon, on the West Bank side of the checkpoint, and the first worker comes out at 07:05.  At 07:45 the checkpoint was empty and we left.

We received a phone call in the afternoon regarding the hours of operation during the Passover holiday for the checkpoint at Reihan – Barta'a . On Wednesday and Thursday, April 16th and 17th, the checkpoint will open at 05:00,  and on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday (April 18th – 21st) it would open at 07:00.  On Tuesday the 22nd of April it will open at 05:00.
