Afternoon

15:06 – A'anin Agricultural Checkpoint

Three men and one woman soldier are standing under the awning at the center of the checkpoint.  Besides them there is no one there.  I was told that ten people had already crossed.

I was surprised that they had crossed within 6 minutes.  By 15:25 no one else had arrived.

15:35 – Tura – Shaked Checkpoint

Only a few people are crossing at this hour.  Most are going to the seamline zone.

15:50 New Barta'a Checkpoint

We hear shooting from the military training area near Barta'a.  Within the last hour several trucks crossed to the West Bank with workers returning from work.  They go through the turnstile.  Some are delayed next to the window for registration or inspection.  They are either people who

work in Israel or people from other places in the West Bank.

From 16:05 to 16:10 I counted 73 people who have come through the sleeveinfo-icon

Several families with children and several dressed-up young women cross from the West Bank to the seamline zone.  There are only a few of them going in that direction.

As on every morning, vans and trucks are waiting on the road.

We left at 16:45.
