Morning

6:30 – 8:00

6:30 Anin checkpoint

The DCO's vehicle waits inside the closed checkpoint area. Soldiers arrive only at 06:45 and say they were late due to some sort of "constraint".

The gate opens at once and farmers begin crossing. About 20 of them go through as well as seven tractors. One of the farmers was not allowed to bring into his land olive plantings, without a special permit from the DCO, whose representative is on site. The farmer left the plantings behind and walked over to his land. He complained to us that the land is exactly at the right stage for planting. On previous occasions we saw people bringing in plantings without any problem.

7:10 Tura-Shaked checkpoint

Workers going out to the seam line zone report that "all is ok" and "passage is quick".

There is no crowding by the turnstile and people go one at a time to the inspection chamber.

Vehicles cross from one side to the other in both directions.

7:25  Schoolchildren arrive and immediately go through the winding lane.

7:30 Barta'a-Reihan checkpoint

Many wait for transportation at the Barta'a crossroad. Many workers are still going up the sleeveinfo-icon and report that passage is "ok".

Quiet at the terminal. 2 windows are active and those going through tell us that the time spent inside the terminal is between a few minutes up to half an hour.
