'Anin, Barta'a-Reihan, Tura-Shaked, Ya'bed-Dotan
At 13:00 I pick up a couple with a baby from Rambam Hospital. They do not speak Hebrew and do not speak Arabic but we do get along.
They are from West Barta'a, The Israeli side of the two Barta'as. There is no marked border but all are aware of it. The West side is modest by our standards, lacks infrastructure, has no public transportation. That couple have five children. Two of them come towards us, sweet, friendly, with bare feet. It is cold today. They show us their car. They have no money to repair it. My own old "junk" car is welcomed. We proceed together.

Four loaded tractors, with stuff that no one is interested in, are waiting. "All is well"." Soldiers
are ok".
15:25 Tura-Shaked checkpoint
A few cars go through in the direction of the West Bank .Empty, desolated and needless.
15:40 We left the checkpoint.
16:00 Ya'abed-Mevoh Dotan checkpoint
Passage is free there are no soldiers on site
16:15 Barta'a-Reihan checkpoint
Dozens of workers return to the West Bank. They rush, younger people even run and laugh. They greet us. The inspection machine is in order and that makes us all happy.
