Afternoon

We drove sick people from Rambam hospital to the Jalama checkpoint, as requested by the "On the way to recovery" not-for-profit organization.

15:40 Barta'a-Rihan checkpoint, on its Palestinian side

A man from Kapeen is waiting for us. He has some papers to help sort out his permit to stay in Barta'a. He is a resident of the West Bank while his wife lives in Barta'a (on the other side of the checkpoint). He works nights in transporting waste from Barta'a to a dump site in the occupied territories. He seeks assistance in obtaining the permit that would allow him to stay at Barta'a and reunite with his wife.

The car parks appears less crowded.

16;00 Ya'abed-Dotan checkpoint

On the side of the checkpoint we observe a military ambulance. The gate is open and vehicles drive through without inspection.

16:15 Barta'a-Rihan on the side of the Seam Line zone.

At this time people return home from work but only a few go down to the terminal. We are told that many didn't go to work today due to the weather. There are no lines by the inspection machine.

Heavy hail start pouring making noise on the plastic roof of the sleeveinfo-icon. There were also lightning and thunder.

16:40 Tura-Shaked

As usual at this time traffic is sparse. One tractor crosses, a few cars drive through on both sides as well as a few pedestrians.

Soldiers play with balls of hail .
