Morning
06:00 Barta'a-Rihan checkpoint
It is Monday morning and we have decided to begin our shift at Barta'a. We are told that all is "ok," but that "ok" doesn't always seem sincere. Today the checkpoint functions well. There are five inspection posts. People go through swiftly and there are no lines.
Why were the coffee peddlers kicked out? Whom did they bother? Older folks who try to earn a few pennies!
06:45 Anin checkpoint
We are told that the gates were opened at 06:40. A few farmers who were there have crossed quickly.
07:10 Tura-Shaked checkpoint
Dozens of people cross on both sides. Things appear efficient.
Schoolchildren and their teacher go through as well.
