Afternoon

The way out of Azzun is blocked and besides the big rocks which block the exit there is a Hummer and anyone wanting to leave has to use byroads.

 Jit is manned but empty.

Beit Iba
The building is still going on and this is obviously going to be a permanent terminal. 20 cars mainly trucks waiting to enter Nablus. Two lanes but no humanitarian lane.

In the enclosure is the man who is usually detained because his last numbers appear on the list. He has been waiting an hour and a half. We gave his details to Hanah Barag. Another man who is said to have tried to slip through is freed after about an hour. He has missed the bus to his village and has a long wait.

15.00
There is pressure and people have to press to get through. After a while a special line opens for the women.

15.45
The checkpoint empties but there is still a long line of cars.

Anabta. 16.10
Cars pass without being checked.

Ar Ras
5 cars are waiting.

Jubara is empty,

While we were at Beit Iba a number of people asked us to find out if the checking at Irtach is bad for one's health. The cell is made of glass and they think that the check is made by radiation.  Will those who have connections with the Doctors without Borders please check on this and ask them to find out if this is so.
