Morning

Tura-Shaked Checkpoint, 07:20 – 07:50

Traffic at the checkpoint isat its height; most people have passed and a few wait in front of the turnstile. The rate of passage is fast and it doesn’t look like there are delays.  People going to work say the gate was opened this morning at 07:10, which is late for them (during the week it opens at 06:30).  Right now, everything is moving.

Barta’a-Reihan Checkpoint, 08:00 – 08:30

There is a lot of traffic. The parking lots are full. Many people arrive, primarily in taxis from the West Bank; they enter the checkpoint and leave through the exit sleeveinfo-icon from the terminal to the seamline zone.

Many people sit on the curb in the upper parking lot.  We calculated a 6-minute passage per person.

They are decorating and renovating the institutions of the Occupation. We noticed the new flooring in the terminal; before this it was covered in a some kind of rough stone.
