Afternoon

15.30 Beit Iba
A very nervous commander met us and chased us away at once.

The reserve soldiers say that he is very nice and not jumpy but we are the cause of his attitude. During the shift he softened and spoke to us now and again and in the end we learned the reason......he lives in one of the settlements around Nablus.

16.00 There are many detaineesinfo-icon and we cannot go near them.

The commander insists on the detention of three hours for those who had tried to slip through. People say it takes them an hour to get through the checkpoint.

16.35 Less pressure on the turnstiles and we time the waiting period as being 20 minutes.  There are few cars. Those who have permits pass with little delay.

Jit...no checkpoint.

Shvut Ami seems to be empty. The other checkpoints are still standing.
