Beit Iba, Mon 26.5.08, Afternoon
15:40
Even fewer vehicles than on our previous shift. The porters' wagons are moving again, and are carefully inspected. No detainees. No dogs. There is vacation at the University and only a few students return from exams.
There is a patrol of officers in the area. Probably because of an upcoming change in units. The checkpoint commander asks us to move back, "But within the shade…"
Contrary to custom, those entering Nablus are inspected today against a list (not physically). They complain that in the last days the checkpoint has opened late and they don't get to work in the Sharon region on time. T., the DCO representative, promised to check.
At the vehicles' entrance, in the direction of Nablus, they go through one by one, but without pressure. A bus with children goes through without inspection at all.

We left.
