Anabta
09:00 – At the exit from Anabta a long line of vehicles extends beyond the horizon. The inspections are very slow. On the opposite side the line is short and we saw quite a few Israeli vehicles entering the town, without delay.
The attitude of the soldiers is hostile and they prevent us of reaching near the post. A quarter of an hour after our arrival someone came over to us and explained that they got a specific alert. His commander reprimanded him. It seems clear that there is no correlation between the alert warning and what was going on the ground, for there was clearly a lack of military personnel. Some people, in desperation, got out of their cars and began to make their way on foot.
09:20 – We called whoever we could at the DCO. After a line began to stretch at the entrance to the town, we insisted that they come to assistance.
09:35 – Now there is some improvement and vehicles begin to cross at a greater pace.
09:55 – Having seen that the pace of inspection was better (because of our intervention), we left the CP. On our way we called the DCO again and they promised us to take care of the situation.
