6:25 - Samaria Gate is without police.
6:35 - At Marda the gate is open and and Zeita it is closed as usual.
6:45 - Za'tara -
7 cars coming from the west are waiting.
Four cars coming from Nablus, there are three lanes open and there are, at any given moment - 10 cars in the queue.
There is a bus in the parking lot and its passengers are waiting outside. When the IDs are returned, the handbags of all the women are checked.
Part of the young men are checked at the magnometer by a woman-soldier!
07:00 - Opposite the entrance to Beita there is a command-car, next to which is a transit taxi. The IDs are checked and registered. When we came up to them the taxi was released and we so no more cars being stopped until we left. At the center of the village there is another command-car and a taxi waiting next to it.
07:15 - Huwwara -
About 50 people are waiting. There is an x-ray car. At the humanitarian queue it seems that the women are not checked at all, and they pass quickly and are waiting for the men.
08:1- - Beit Furik -
There are 14 cars waiting and we are told that the passage is very slow. We see that at the CP only one lane is active, and is serving cars from both directions, but the checking is relatively quick.
Drivers are not asked to leave the vehicles and papers are hardly checked at all. In fact the queue becomes shorter within several minutes. It is not clear whether our presence influenced the soldiers or that there was just a change of shifts, and the new ones are quicker.
A car without a number plate in front and at the back arrives at the CP. It is sent to stand aside and the driver is taken to the detainees
shed. Some time later a young man arrives from the direction of Nablus with the car's papers. The commander goes with him to check the chassis number, identifies the vehicles and enables the driver to pass on with his car into Nablus.
A lot of goodwill, especially surprising at this CP.
09:15 - At Za'tara there are 7 cars coming from Nablus in the queue.

6:45 - זעתרה - ממערב ממתינות 7 מכוניות.
מכיוון שכם 3 מסלולים פתוחים וכל הזמן כ- 10 מכוניות בתור.
אוטובוס נמצא במגרש החניה והנוסעים ממתינים בחוץ. אחרי שמחזירים את תעודות הזהות בודקים לכל הנשים את תיקי היד. חלק מהגברים הצעירים נבדקים במגנומטר על ידי חיילת!
7:00 - מול הכניסה לביתא עומד קומנדקר ולידו מונית טרנזיט. תעודות הזהות נבדקות ונרשמות. כאשר ניגשנו אליהם שוחררה המונית ויותר לא ראינו מכוניות נעצרות עד שעזבנו. במרכז העיירה עמד קומנדקר נוסף ומונית ממתינה לידו.
7:15 - חווארה -
כ- 50 איש ממתינים. יש מכונית שיקוף. בתור ההומניטרי נראה שלא בודקים כלל את הנשים והן עוברות מהר וממתינות לגברים.
8:10 - בית פוריכ -
14 מכוניות ממתינות ואומרים לנו שהמעבר מאוד איטי.
במחסום אנחנו רואות שפועל רק מסלול אחד המשמש את שני הכיוונים אבל הבדיקה היא מהירה יחסית. לא דורשים מהנהגים לצאת מהרכב ובקושי בודקים תעודות. התור מתקצר מאוד תוך מספר דקות. לא ברור האם נוכחותנו השפיעה או שבדיוק התחלפה משמרת והחדשים זריזים יותר.
למחסום מגיעה מכונית ללא מספר מלפנים ומאחור. שולחים אותה לעמוד בצד ואת הנהג לתא המעוכבים. כעבור זמן קצר מגיע בחור מכיוון שכם עם הניירות של הרכב. המפקד הולך איתו לבדוק את מספר השילדה, מזהה את הרכב ומאפשר לנהג לעבור עם המכונית לתוך שכם. הרבה רצון טוב, מפתיע במיוחד במחסום זה.
9:15 - בזעתרה - 7 מכוניות בתור משכם.
