Afternoon

15:30 Tura Shaked Checkpoint

Only a few cars and pedestrians are crossing in both directions. We are told that during the holidays (the upcoming Jewish New Year) the checkpoint will be open as usual.

15:55 Barta'a Riehan Checkpoint

On our way to the checkpoint we see many Israeli cars bringing laborers back to the checkpoint after a day’s work. Tens of laborers, among them the seamstresses, quickly disembark and enter the terminal via the sleeveinfo-icon. The pass through quickly because the machines aren’t working and there’s no monitoring, though we aren’t certain if it’s because they’ve cancelled the security checks or because the machines are malfunctioning.

There are those coming from the other direction – from Jenin – as well, among them students from al-Najah University.

The terminal building is under construction.
