Morning

On Friday, September 25, at 10 a.m., dozens of soldiers entered the village, walked amongst the houses, peeped into the windows, fired shots and hurled stun grenades.

The hours of horror that the villagers underwent are indescribable. The Israeli army claims it holds its routine training sessions in Jewish communities as well. Interesting, I don't remember when this ever happened, that Israeli soldiers ran around amidst houses in my Tel Aviv neighborhood or in the Jewish artists' community of En Hod…

In the past, the Israeli army used to hold night training among the houses of Awaba, but following a petition by Israeli Association for Civil Rights, the Israel Supreme Court ruled that this was illegal. Until a week ago.
