13:15 Sarra Checkpoint

The checkpoint was open only in one direction, for those exiting. The soldiers moved their posts and tents nearer the entrance to the checkpoint (earlier they were situated at the entrance to the Yitzhar road). Soldiers held careful inspections, people were taken off vehicles while a long waiting line formed.

South of the Gil’ad Ranch we noticed a new settlement, its road reaching the hill, and several caravans already in place and manned. We saw no signs bearing a name of the place.

Expansion works at the entrance to Yitzhar, soldiers on guard.

Huwara - literally a ghost town. The streets are empty, only a few shops are open.

Awarta - the checkpoint is manned, there is a long line of vehicles in both directions, stretching all the way to Awarta village both in the direction of the village and of Nablus. Inspection are meticulous…

Beit Furik Checkpoint - a long line of vehicles in both directions, inspections mainly for those driving back to Beit Furik.

Beit Dajan - the entrance gate is still closed. Yesterday (Monday) a young man from this village was killed by the Israeli army.

Burin - the entrance crowded, a long line of vehicles in both directions, they drive through the villages of Burin and Madama in order to get to Nablus. They are allowed to go there only by way of Deir Sharaf - Beit Iba, a very long detour.
