Morning

06:00 -Barta’a-Reihan Checkpoint, Palestinian side

The parking lot is quite empty and the passage of people is continuous and fast. Just as we were ready to leave, A., a young man, 24 years old, who spoke fluent English, approached us.  He is a graduate of the American University in Jenin, and wants to continue his studies in the field of translation in Canada. In the meantime, he works in Barta’a.  He was accepted to work in Seeds of Peace, but he is prohibited from entering Israel and wants to know why.

When we left, we saw two trucks loaded with sheep waiting for “security clearance.”

06:40 – Tura-Shaked Checkpoint

The passage has just begun. We waited to see children pass through but it turned out that summer vacation has already begun in the Occupied Territories, on 25 May. It is interesting to know what parents do with their children in the house for 3 months?

The passage begins lazily and every 3 minutes someone passes through. Between the turnstile and the inspection room, people complain about the conditions.

We left Tura at 07:30 and did a tour of Harish, which has grown very fast.
