Phone report from the Palestinian Jordan Valley

I Spoke with Y. and B. two heads of families in Khalat Makhoul.

The situation there is dire. They cannot drive to either urban or rural centers. Tyassir now has a checkpoint placed by the Palestinian Authority which they are not allowed to cross. The shepherd communities eat flatbread which they make themselves, sheep and goat cheeses and eggs. No vegetables or fruit. Fear of the Corona virus is great, and the families are not communicating with each other. Every family is closed in its own area.

They are still receiving water and going out to graze every day.

They miss the Israeli activists very much, but ask - even demand - that we do not come out to them at this time.
