Morning

06:15 – Anin Checkpoint
At 06:20 an army vehicle arrives.  The front gate of the checkpoint was opened, and closed, but not locked.  At 06:30, a vehicle from the Liaison and Coordination Authority arrives.  People from Anin begin to go out to their day’s work in the Seamline Zone.  The captain of the Liaison and Coordination Authority leaves the checkpoint and hurries for the opening of the gate at Harmesh, for the Palestinians who have olive trees within the settlement and who need to harvest these olives.  We request to receive the name of the new officer of the Authority, Saalam.

06:45 – Army vehicles cross the system road and pass on. At 07:00, one of the workers requests to return to the village.  Someone has summoned him to go back to his sick grandfather.
At 07:03, a tractor pulling a wagon carrying 4 women passes the gate and waits for additional passengers.

Altogether, 4 tractors and several dozens of men passed. We did not wait for the gate to be locked, so as to have enough time to meet with children from Daher al Malekh.

07:20 – Tura-Shaked Checkpoint

Nursery-school children and pupils pass the checkpoint to the village of Tura, where there are several schools.  Some cross the road and some go through the inspection room and then the turnstile.  There is a new gate between the road and the checkpoint. One of the cars waits too long for inspection on the way to the West Bank.  This morning, we did not hear any complaints.

08:00 – Barta’a-Reihan Checkpoint

In the upper parking lot, there are still people waiting for rides to work. On the Palestinian side, the parking lot is filled with trucks.  In the lower parking lot, two children, about 9 and 11, are sweeping it.  Their father is there too, with his new car and they are very proud of it.  The children do not want to go to school, but the older one already knows enough to read our tags that say 'MachsomWatch.'
