Etzion DCO: Issuing magnetic cards will soon be transferred to a private company

There were a few cars parked in the parking lot and two women were waiting inside the hall.  A man came out and told us that his wife was hospitalized in Augusta Victoria Hospital.  She has cancer and is due to be operated on tomorrow.  He has a letter from the hospital and a permit to enter Israel for three months which is valid until tomorrow.  He requested a new entry permit for three  more months.  The District Civilian liaison Office refused to give him a new permit and told him to go the Palestinian office.  We talked with the health organization.  The woman replied that they were aware of his case. They had received a letter from Augusta Victoria and advised him to come back, this time as a humanitarian case.   He returned and was told that they receive only requests for one month and not for three, and he therefore needs to bring another request from Augusta Victoria.  We spoke with Augusta Victoria and were told that the matter would be taken care of by tomorrow.   

A few people who have been banned from entering Israel approached us – among them was a man who had been banned for 100 years.  We gave them the usual advice for eliminating an entry prohibition.  We saw seven men waiting at the entrance to the special services who were invited to meetings at 01:00, but through a regular telephone call. 

We met the new officer, a pleasant gentle man.  He verified that the center for receiving magnetic cards was being move to Tarkomia that would be run by civilians.  There will be 10 such centers throughout the West Bank.

במגרש חנו מכוניות מעטות.  באולם המתינו שתי נשים.   בחור שיצא החוצה, ניגש אלינו  וסיפר שאשתו מאושפזת  בבית החולים “אוגוסטה ויקטוריה” בגלל סרטן בראש, ומחר היא עומדת לעבור ניתוח. יש  לו  מכתב  מאוגוסטה ויקטוריה והיתר- כניסה לישראל  לשלושה חודשים ,  תקף עד מחר.  הוא ביקש היתר-כניסה חדש לשלושה חודשים ,  במת’ק  סרבו לתת לו אישור  חדש והורו לו לפנות למת’ק הפלסטיני. דברנו עם  “הבריאות”. הבחורה שאיתה דיברנו, אמרה שהמקרה  מוכר להם, שאתמול הם קבלו את המכתב מאוגוסטה ויקטוריה ושהיא מציעה לו  להיכנס שוב, הפעם כ”מקרה  הומניטארי”. הוא נכנס  שוב ואמרו לו שהם מקבלים בקשות רק לחודש אחד ולא לשלושה חודשים, ולכן  עליו להביא בקשה חדשה מאוגוסטה ויקטוריה. דברנו עם אוגוסטה ויקטוריה והבחורה אמרה שהעניין יסודר עד מחר .

פנו אלינו מנועים אחדים, ביניהם אדם  מנוע  מאה שנה . יעצנו להם את העצות הרגילות להסרת מניעה.  ליד הכניסה לשב’כ המתינו 7 גברים.  כולם  הוזמנו  לפגישה  בשב’כ  לא  ב  1 בלילה, כפי שנהוג  לפעמים , אלא בשיחת טלפון רגילה.

פגשנו את הקצין  החדש, בחור נעים-הליכות ועדין, והוא אימת את הידיעה ששמענו, שהמרכז לקבלת כרטיסים מגנטים יעבור לתרקומיה, לידים אזרחיות, ושיהיו 10 מרכזים כאלה ברחבי הגדה. הגדה..
