Barta`a chekpoint: the security guards harass the passers-by

Despite the early hours, there is already lively traffic of workers returning to the West Bank.  They ended the workday early because of Ramadan.  In answer to our questions, the workers tell us that indeed, the checkpoint opened from Sunday, the 26th, at 4:00 A.M., and there is improvement in the crowding in the morning.  All the stations for passing with magnetic cards - worked.  However, two people complained that the security guards were "playing” with some of the passersby - that is, they passed the cards through but didn’t allow the person to pass through.  Another man complained about the cost of the parking lot on the Palestinian side—NIS 10 a day.  But according to what was written by the director of the passages—the Israeli responsibility begins at the turnstile at the entrance to the terminal, and the parking lot is the Palestinian responsibility.

The checkpoint opened earlier today,  Major H. says that today, the military police didn’t come (what a miracle!!) and the soldiers opened as people began to come.  Actually, they opened at 14:40, and at 15:20 it was still open.
