Vigorous traffic at the Tura checkpoint
06:40 – Barta’a-Reihan Checkpoint
Many workers (who already moved here from the West Bank), stand at the entrance to the checkpoint area and wait for vehicles that will take them to work. Many continue to arrive (from the West Bank) via the sleeve (the enclosed, roofed path to the terminal) to cross to the Seamline Zone. The parking lots are full. On our way, we saw a convoy of large jeeps in front of us. This is no ordinary scene here.
07:00 – Ya’bed-Dotan Checkpoint
The traffic is heavy in both directions with no delays. In the large, empty lot to the left of the checkpoint, which serves as an alternative crossing, sections of the ground are wavy. If an accident occurs at the narrow checkpoint, or if a truck is stuck here, where will all the vehicles go? At the junction of Mevo Dotan, cleaning workers from Beer Sheva (so they told us themselves), clean the sides of the road, accompanied by a vehicle designated for that purpose.
07:20 – Hermesh Checkpoint
For a long time, this checkpoint has not been active but what remains attests to its potential.
This morning, our passage through the Barta’a Checkpoint to the Seamline Zone went smoothly, unlike last week when they stopped us for a thorough inspection at the vehicle inspection area.
07:40 Tura-Shaked Checkpoint
There is heavy traffic of workers in the direction of the Seamline Zone, and students in the direction of the West Bank.
08:00 – Agricultural Checkpoint Anin
The checkpoint opened at 07:00. The gates are now closed and soldiers guard them.
