Jubara (Kafriat), Wed 14.11.07, Afternoon
Jubara 14.20
We arrived at the Taaneh gate at the checkpoint of Jubara. We informed the soldiers of our presence and went in through the gate of Chatem and members of Machsomwatch only to the village. The childrens' gate where we found only one child waiting for his brothers and went on to A-Ras. There we found that the cars going through to Tulkarm were not being checked and those exiting checked quickly before they went on their way. We then went to Beit Lid where we enjoyed the view and from there we went on to Anabta at 16.40. The taxis were in their usual place and we hope this problem has been solved. At the entrance were about 20 cars passing without being checked and at the exit a short examination of cars going through.

The Jabra checkpoint was on Road 557, south of Tulkarm, on the side of the Figs Pass, which is located within the Palestinian Authority (a few kilometers east of the Green Line), and serves as an entry barrier from the territories to Israel. The checkpoint to the village of Jubara, which until 2013 was in the seam area, blocked and surrounded by a fence, was intended for the passage of the family members of the house next to the checkpoint, and also for the MachsomWatch volunteers (with special permission only), on their way to checkpoint 753. on the other side of the village. The soldiers supervising the "fig crossing" also supervised the crossing at this checkpoint, in our shifts we often waited a long time until the key was found and the gate opened. The checkpoint was abolished and became part of the separation fence that was moved west following the High Court.
